5-Hydroxytryptophan(5-HTP)

5-Hydroxytryptophan or 5-HTP is a naturally occurring amino acid, a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin and an intermediate in tryptophan metabolism. It is marketed in the United States and other countries as a dietary supplement for use as an antidepressant, appetite suppressant, and sleep aid. However, according to a 2001 meta-analysis, insufficient high quality research has been done to establish that it is efficacious. The psychoactive action of 5-HTP is thought to derive from its effect on serotonin synthesis in central nervous system tissue. It is believed that an artificially high supply of 5-HTP causes the brain's serotonin-producing neurons to increase production. Increased serotonin production then leads to increased serotonin release. Research shows that co-administration with carbidopa greatly increases plasma 5-HTP levels. However, several studies have reported that 5-HTP is effective even without a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor (e.g. carbidopa).Other studies have indicated the risk of a scleroderma-like condition resulting from the combination of 5-HTP and carbidopa. 5-HTP, which is found in minute amounts in certain foods like cheese and the white meat of poultry,is often sold as an over-the-counter therapeutic supplement. In this case, it is usually sourced from the seeds of Griffonia simplicifolia. 5-HTP in supplement form is typically sold in 50 mg or 100 mg gelatin or vegetarian capsules.

5-Methyl-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone

5-Methyl-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone is a naturally-derived non-hormonal anabolic and anti-catabolic compound known as a flavone. It has been shown to decrease cortisol levels, increase protein synthesis, and improve overall recovery from exercise. 5-Methyl-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone is suitable for anyone wanting to gain muscle size and strength without adversely affecting their hormone levels or health. Strength and power athletes (such as rugby players or sprinters), bodybuilders, or those interested in improving their physical appearance will likely benefit from supplementation with 5-Methyl-7-Methoxy-Isoflavone. It works by increasing protein synthesis and nitrogen retention in much the same way steroids do, but without the androgenic side-effects. Patented by pharmaceutical experts Chinoin (US Patent # 4,163,746), 5-methyl-7-methoxyisoflavone is designed to promote muscle growth while at the same time increasing fat loss. Once the patent expired, Methoxy quickly became popular with many livestock producers and still is now. It packed on massive amounts of lean muscle in animals in a short time, allowing farmers to enjoy record profits. With livestock, after just 30 days on Methoxy, gains in weight average 8-15% in calfs, 7-10% in cattle, 8-20% in poultry and 10-20% in rabbits. All gains were mostly lean muscle tissue. Experts now consider Methoxy as one of the most effective anabolic agents currently available. What's more, the patent shows that it's free from "androgenic or liver-damaging side effects".

Acetyl-L-Carnitine

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is the ester form of L-Carnitine; a naturally occurring amino acid metabolized from Lysine and Methionine and used extensively by the brain and nervous system. There is a significant amount of research on L-Carnitine’s role in cardiac and skeletal muscle function and in its role in fat metabolism/loss. N-Acetyl- L-Carnitine’s research has focused mainly on its role in brain and nervous system function with regard to the aging process. The older we get, the more likely we are to suffer from cognitive/memory loss. Many nutrients have been studied for their potential in promoting brain health in older adults. N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine is one of those nutrients. N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine is involved in preventing age-related effects on the brain by protecting neurons from oxidative damage.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha lipoic acid is a fatty acid found naturally inside every cell in the body. It's needed by the body to produce the energy for our body's normal functions. Alpha lipoic acid converts glucose (blood sugar) into energy. Alpha lipoic acid is also an antioxidant, a substance that neutralizes potentially harmful chemicals called free radicals. What makes alpha lipoic acid unique is that it functions in water and fat, unlike the more common antioxidants vitamins C and E, and it appears to be able to recycle antioxidants such as vitamin C and glutathione after they have been used up. Glutathione is an important antioxidant that helps the body eliminate potentially harmful substances. Alpha lipoic acid increases the formation of glutathione. Alpha lipoic acid is made by the body and can be found in very small amounts in foods such as spinach, broccoli, peas, Brewer's yeast, brussel sprouts, rice bran, and organ meats. Alpha lipoic acid supplements are available in capsule form at health food stores, some drugstores, and online. For maximum absorption, the supplements should be taken on an empty stomach.

Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate(AAKG)

Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate or AAKG is an amino acid derivative commonly marketed as a body building supplement. An intermediate in the metabolism of nitric oxides, no reputable scientific evidence shows any benefits from taking AAKG as a dietary supplement。 The benefits of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate are similar to those of arginine, mostly due to the increased NO production, which increases blood flow to muscles and all parts of the body. Research shows that arginine may help the body repair wounds, may help some kidney disorders, may help decrease the severity or incidence of migraine headaches, and may help improve symptoms of male infertility caused by erectile dysfunction.

Aspartame

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener. It is 180 times sweeter than sugar in typical concentrations, without the high energy value of sugar. While aspartame, like other peptides, has a caloric value of 4 kilocalories (17 kilojoules) per gram, the quantity of aspartame needed to produce a sweet taste is so small that its caloric contribution is negligible, which makes it a popular sweetener for those trying to avoid calories from sugar. The taste of aspartame is not identical to that of sugar: the sweetness of aspartame has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar. Blends of aspartame with acesulfame potassium—usually listed in ingredients as acesulfame K—are alleged to taste more like sugar, and to be sweeter than either substitute used alone. Like many other peptides, aspartame may hydrolyze (break down) into its constituent amino acids under conditions of elevated temperature or high pH. This makes aspartame undesirable as a baking sweetener, and prone to degradation in products hosting a high-pH, as required for a long shelf life. The stability of aspartame under heating can be improved to some extent by encasing it in fats or in maltodextrin. The stability when dissolved in water depends markedly on pH. At room temperature, it is most stable at pH 4.3, where its half-life is nearly 300 days. At pH 7, however, its half-life is only a few days. Most soft-drinks have a pH between 3 and 5, where aspartame is reasonably stable. In products that may require a longer shelf life, such as syrups for fountain beverages, aspartame is sometimes blended with a more stable sweetener, such as saccharin.[5] In products such as powdered beverages, the amine in aspartame can undergo a Maillard reaction with the aldehyde groups present in certain aroma compounds. The ensuing loss of both flavor and sweetness can be prevented by protecting the aldehyde as an acetal. Public opinion is that aspartame creates an odd aftertaste to some people, many describe it as a non-flavor or something such as a watery aftertaste.

BCAA

The BCAAs stimulate the effect of insulin in three different manners. The first manner through which the metabolic pathway is affected is the increased production of insulin. It has been demonstrated that BCAA supplementation in accordance with carbohydrate intake following resistance exercise increases insulin output by 221%, which is much greater than the 66% supplementation without leucine. Leucine is the most readily oxidized BCAA and therefore the most effective at causing insulin secretion from the pancreas, and stimulating the metabolic pathway. This is important because insulin is the initiating factor that begins the signalling cascade. The second effect is outlined with the red arrows clearly indicating a phosphorylation cascade beginning with the activation of the Ras Rhed and ending with rpS6. The importance of rpS6 is that it induces mRNA translation. This translation leads to the production of proteins. The other side of the pathway indicated by the blue arrow induces the action of eIF4G. This initiation factor causes the binding of mRNA within the ribosome thus providing the initial products needed for translation. This leads down to the final product via protein binding and phosphorylation, resulting in eIF4E which induces mRNA translation which in turn leads to chain elongation, and termination, resulting in net protein growth.

Beta Ecdysterone (20-Hydroxyecdysterone) 90%

20-Hydroxyecdysterone (referred to here as ecdysterone) is a member of a family of insect and plant derived steroid hormone, known as ecdysteroids. There are more than 300 known ecdysteroids, but 20-hydroxyecdysterone has been the most extensively researched ecdysteroid that has anabolic properties without the androgenic side effects. Ecdysterone is known to increase wound healing and protein synthesis. Many people have tried ecdysterone orally with little or no results even at very high doses. The reason for this is the same as base testosterone, poor oral absorption, and a very short (11 minute) duration of action. It is proven that ecdysterone is rapidly cleared by the body, which is why it is perfect for transdermal delivery. By using this compound in a transdermal matrix, both of these obstacles are overcome, allowing you to get the maximum anabolic benefit from this compound. The first use of ecdysterone was by Russian Olympians who were vague on how they administered the compound It was wrongly assumed that ecdysterone was take orally, but new research suggests that the Russians injected a synthetic analog of ecdysterone to increase performance. Now, there is no way you would want to inject the 95% pure plant extracts that are currently available, but they are perfect for transdermal delivery, which gives you the benefits that the Russians derived without the danger of injections.
